Gemini Rosé Brut Nature 2013

For the base wine we harvested Pinot Noir in August, 2013. The clusters were pressed without destemming. Then after spontaneous fermentation in steel tanks the wine was taken to the cellar of József Szentesi at Budafok. The sparkling wine was made with traditional method, in bottles. After 1,5 years of ageing on lees we have started to release a small amount for sale, the rest of the bottles are still in the cellar, the sparkling wine is in bottle, on its lees waiting to be degorged. After the dégorgement we added 0 g/l dosage, so Gemini Rosé is Brut Nature.

Tasting notes

Due to aging on lees yeasty-toasty notes can be detected. Nice, elegant bubbles and moderate acidity.
